As you know, our team at Monster is a big proponent of utilizing social media as a way of engaging with a community. Especially when it comes to human resources and connecting with a community of candidates for recruiting and hiring, we see the value in using social networks.
That is why we are excited to see that the Office of Personnel Management is creating an innovative online recruiting tool to help managers, employees and human-resources professionals with planning and implementing recruiting strategies and promoting interagency sharing and learning via online forums.
Not only is OPM developing the new tool to help in collaboration and interagency sharing, but they are also working with GovLoop to develop additional resources and get feedback from the federal recruiting community participating within this network, according to a recent NexGov article.
We are definitely impressed with this progress and fully support OPM’s social media initiatives. In fact, during our Social Media 101 event last week, we realized just how many HR folks within agencies are searching for the right way to get started using online tools and social networks.
We will continue to blog here in our community, but we also encourage our partners, customers and readers to share their best practices with us on Unleash the Monster so that others can learn from your experiences.
